Capstone Hill Search is hiring: Public Relations Account Director in New York

Our global boutique corporate communications firm is hiring an ambitious and dynamic Account Director with a strong background in B2B technology public relations to join its New York City office. This role is pivotal in shaping communications strategy for a diverse range of clients, including those in fintech, sustainability, web3, venture capital, future-of-work, AI and/or enterprise tech.

Account Director Key Responsibilities:

• Work across and lead day-to-day account management for 4 - 5 clients in the B2B technology space from Fortune 500 and top VCs to high-growth start-ups.
• Collaborate directly with senior management and act as the primary liaison for client communications.
• Develop and support execution of PR strategies and project deliverables, such as press releases, bylines, .
• Drive client team efforts by overseeing work streams, communicating progress, and providing insights to meet client goals.
• Spearhead business development initiatives and cultivate a robust pipeline of potential clients.
• Mentor and develop team members to achieve both their career aspirations and organizational objectives.

Account Director Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in corporate communications / public relations, with a focus on B2B technology.
• Some agency experience is a must-have.
• Established relationships with national top-tier and tech trade media reporters.
• Experience advising senior leaders and managing complex projects.
• Strong understanding of current tech topics, from AI to blockchain.
• Passion for creative storytelling - not all B2B tech stories and have to be dull!

*Please note this is a hybrid role with all employees required to be in the firm's NYC office weekly 3 days/week. Fully remote candidate, those requiring relocation, or who cannot satisfy this full requirement will not be considered.

ANNUAL SALARY: $75,000 - $83,000 base salary with up to a 16% discretionary bonus based on individual performance.
