The Opportunity + Role:

H+M is looking for an Account Coordinator to join our dynamic team of professionals who seek to enable our clients to say the right thing, to the right audiences, in the right ways via the right mix of public relations channels in order to achieve the best, most optimal results. This individual’s organizational, analytical, and communications skills, along with their attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at one time are critical to the successful performance of the team and how we’re ultimately able to showcase those results to our clients. 


In this role, the Account Coordinator will work in close partnership with a core set of team members on two core retail and innovation clients that focus on the online shopping and social media spaces. For these clients, the individual will monitor for media coverage, input the coverage into media trackers, analyze related data, and share out key findings with their team, as well as support media outreach by creating media lists, sending out interview confirmations, and staffing in-person and virtual press days and other media opportunities.


The individual who steps into this role will work remotely from their home office in Miami, and they will be asked to regularly support and staff agency events like movie premieres, press junkets, film screenings, celebrity meet and greets, influencer activations, and more. Overall, this team member may staff several events in Miami each quarter, with some time periods being busier than others.

  

Core Responsibilities:

The Account Coordinator candidate will be expected to deliver on several primary responsibilities, which may change and evolve based on account responsibilities and client needs. Core responsibilities expected for this position include (but are not limited to) the ones listed below.


Monitoring + Reporting:

  • Support with day-to-day monitoring and reporting needs including:
  • Monitoring broadcast, print, and digital media and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube) for client stories and mentions.
  • Inputting media and social coverage in client trackers.
  • Assessing and tracking overall reach and message pull-through in stories and posts.
  • Compiling daily media clips for the client and sharing them via email.
  • Collaborating with team members to be sure all coverage and posts are accounted for - across media and influencers/social media.


Research:

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and client-specific news, and compile and share research findings for internal and client use.
  • Conduct media audits to identify national, regional, and local media targets for specific campaigns.
  • Assist in gathering insights on target audiences to help enable the team to better tailor PR strategies for each campaign.


Event Coordination + Participation:

  • Support the planning and execution of press events, product launches, and other promotional activities. 
  • Staff in-person and/or virtual press days, interview junkets, and other events.


Account Management + Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day account responsibilities including developing meeting or call agendas, taking notes, circulating call recaps, and more.
  • Maintain regular communications with client(s), providing updates on ongoing projects and activities as needed.
  • Assist in managing project budgets and tracking expenses, and help prepare budget reports for clients.
  • Support publicity efforts by maintaining and updating the master and campaign-specific target media lists.
  • Manage the material translation process (from English to Spanish or Spanish to English) with clients and vendors as needed.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and actively contribute to all conversations and brainstorm sessions.
  • Help support other teams and projects if or as needed.


Requirements:

To be considered for this role, Account Coordinator candidates must meet the below requirements.


  • Earned a Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field of study from an accredited institution.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, and can seamlessly write and speak in both languages.
  • Has a strong passion for data and analytics, and is familiar and comfortable with using Excel.
  • Has experience in working in public relations, marketing, or a related industry, including work experience gained through school coursework and/or internships. 
  • Based in Miami and is able to staff and support in-person events at night, on weekends, and on holidays.: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
