Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full Time/Typical hours are M-F, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
Who We Are:
Mid-States Distributing ("Mid-States") is the leading Farm, Ranch, and Home Retail Cooperative. Our company is owned by 31 independent Farm, Ranch & Home retailers (Members) who operate over 800 stores in 36 states and 9 Canadian provinces with combined annual sales in excess of 7.5 billion dollars. Our member/owners retail items such as agriculture parts & supplies, petroleum products, hardware & tools, pet food, lawn & garden, animal health supplies, apparel & footwear, sporting goods, and various other products for the Farm, Ranch, and Home.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a highly skilled Marketing Director to help us promote our vast assortment of private brand products, support our events team, and promote our company brand. The ideal candidate will have an energetic positive mental attitude, be an effective communicator, be creative, organized, able to multitask, and able to manage a marketing team consisting of graphic artists, videographers, web developers, copywriters, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help build, train, and lead a marketing team working on websites, social media content, graphics, copy, video, etc.
- Help develop marketing content to deliver to our members for their use (e.g. social media, commercials, print ads, etc.)
- Help develop fun, exciting, and creative launches for new private brand products
- Work with members and staff to develop ad plans, ad calendars, and promotions
- Work with management to develop marketing budget and review P&L
- Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to translate results into actionable insights
- In other words, all things marketing related
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in marketing, advertising, or communications is a plus but a successful track record and relevant work experience may be considered
- Ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience as a Marketing Director but if you think you have what it takes, go for it!
- Successful track record in senior marketing roles and creating effective marketing campaigns
- Excellent leadership, communications, and decision-making skills
- Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
- Familiar with popular design software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Established portfolio
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean environment. The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping and significant fine finger dexterity.
