The Regional Studio Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the operations, performance, and member experience of multiple studios within a designated region. This role focuses on driving business growth, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a strong community culture while delivering FitLab’s high standards of service and engagement.
As a Regional Studio Manager, you will lead and support a team of Studio Managers, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies. Additionally, you will collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to develop and execute local marketing campaigns and partnerships that drive member acquisition, retention, and overall studio success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Oversight:
- Regional Operations: Manage day-to-day operations across multiple studios, ensuring adherence to FitLab's quality standards and operational protocols.
- Goal Achievement: Set and monitor studio-level KPIs, including membership growth, retention, and revenue targets. Collaborate with Studio Managers to execute strategies that meet or exceed these objectives.
- Market Insights: Analyze market trends and member feedback within the region to adapt strategies and remain competitive.
Marketing Strategy and Campaign Development:
- Local Marketing Calendar: Develop and manage a marketing calendar for all FitLab studios in the region, aligning with corporate and regional goals.
- Campaign Development: Collaborate with Studio Managers to create and execute marketing programs, including new member acquisition, retention initiatives, promotional materials, and experiential challenges.
- Market Research and Analytics: Conduct regular local market research to understand trends, pricing, and marketing activities. Gather insights on customer behavior and competitive landscape to provide actionable feedback to leadership, supporting the development and refinement of ongoing strategies.
Local Marketing and Partnerships:
- Grassroots Efforts: Work with Studio Managers to develop grassroots marketing strategies to drive local traffic and conversion.
- Partnership Development: Design and implement programs to build meaningful partnerships at the local and national levels.
- Market-Specific Strategies: Tailor marketing initiatives to meet the unique needs and characteristics of individual studio markets.
Operational Excellence:
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all studios maintain FitLab’s standards for cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
- Safety and Risk Management: Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations and FitLab protocols to ensure a safe environment for members and staff.
- Facilities Oversight: Take extreme ownership of the physical appearance and operational efficiency of all studios in the region.
Team Development and Leadership:
- Studio Manager Leadership: Mentor and develop Studio Managers to optimize team performance, engagement, and accountability. Foster, support, and value diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace.
- Talent Development: Support recruitment, training, onboarding and retention efforts across the region. Promote a culture of professional growth and high performance.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a motivated, aligned, and engaged workforce that reflects FitLab’s culture and values.
Financial Management and Business Performance
- Budget Oversight: Manage regional budgets, monitor studio financials, and implement cost-effective strategies to maximize profitability.
- Revenue Generation: Drive membership sales, Corporate accounts, paid events, retail sales, etc. through collaboration with Studio Managers and staff.
- Studio Scorecard Accountability: Deliver coaching, tools, and support to ensure each studio achieves its scorecard benchmarks. These benchmarks encompass financial performance, facilities scoring and standards, and client experience metrics. Drive alignment across the region by fostering consistent execution and accountability.
Project Management, Reporting, and Partner Management:
- Campaign Tracking: Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, leveraging data insights to refine and improve results.
- Reporting: Provide short- and long-term analysis of marketing campaigns and operational performance.
- Presentation and Communication: Present strategies, results, and recommendations effectively to leadership teams, studio staff, and external partners.
- Partner Management: Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure successful execution of marketing programs, including advertising, promotions, PR, events, sponsorships, and member experience initiatives.
Perform other job-related projects/duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience:
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in multi-unit management, preferably in fitness, hospitality, retail, or a related industry. Must be an experienced people leader who has built, developed, and retained high-performing teams.
- Sales Expertise: Extensive experience in lead acquisition, conversion strategies, retail sales, corporate partnerships, and other revenue-generating initiatives. Proven ability to drive membership sales, develop innovative campaigns, and optimize additional revenue streams such as events and personal training services.
- Marketing Expertise: Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing local marketing strategies that drive business growth.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop diverse teams, with a focus on engagement, training, and performance improvement.
- Track Record of Success: Experience managing budgets, P&L, and achieving operational and financial goals.

- Exceptional Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- A background check will be conducted on all final candidates upon receipt of the signed offer letter and release form.
Travel Requirement:
- Anticipate travel 2-3 times per quarter in this position.
