.Net Web Developer III Job at Beacon Technologies in Madison

Beacon Technologies is seeking a .Net Web Developer III for our client partner. This position will analyze, design, develop, test, implement and maintain solutions and features for applications in the Microsoft .NET environment. This position consists of new development, enhancements, and/or providing support for existing applications as determined by project and maintenance priorities. There is an ongoing need. The position will work with supervisors, project managers, business relationship managers, developers, and business customers. To be successful in this position, the developer will need to take initiative and own tasks or products along with being self-motivating including excellent communications, time management, listening, collaboration, problem-solving, and adaptability skillsets. Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI within 30 calendar days of the start date. Local candidates preferred. Headquarters is downtown Madison, WI. Hybrid, on a weekly basis is currently 60% remote and 40% in the office. New contractors must start on-site for a five-day orientation/onboarding. Work cannot be conducted outside the United States.

Top Skills (5) & Years of Experience:

• Advanced level application development skillsets including Analysis and Development within Microsoft .Net Framework. (8+ yrs)
• Coding experience in .Net framework with MVC including Angular, C#, VB.Net, JavaScript, and Bootstrap. (8+ yrs)
• Experience coding applications in Angular. (2 years)
• Experience developing applications with Oracle backend databases including experience writing stored procedures and SQL. (8+ yrs)
• Experience working in Visual Studio as well as Azure DevOps including keeping work items updated in addition to code management. (4+ years)

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in other Government agency.
• Experience working with Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.
• Experience with GIS, especially Esri JavaScript APIs.

Additional Details:

• State Government experience would be a plus.
• Work hours are during business hours between 7:00 – 5:30pm.
• Must have reliable internet provided at own expense for working remotely.
• State holidays are not paid unless part of work agreement. No overtime and no weekend differential. Work on state holidays must be approved.
