Our client is seeking a
Technical Designer
to join their team on a temporary basis, part-time.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Assist in developing initial specs, working with the Design team to ensure accuracy of design intent Enter development sample measurements into PLM. Track and organize samples as they arrive in office. Measure garments to ensure accuracy and consistency with specs Review garments for quality issues. Assist during fit sessions by taking detailed photos and notes. Generate fit comments to be shared with overseas vendors. Maintain tech logs with fit comments and photos throughout the products approval process Support cross-functional partners in Production, Product Development, and Design as needed.
Qualifications: 3-5 years of Technical Design experience in apparel design, childrenswear is a plus. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills (including contact with overseas fabric mills and suppliers). General understanding development and production process. Knowledge of garment construction, fabrication, and production preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and PLM systems. Must have a strong sense of urgency and strong ability to pay close attention to detail. Must have excellent time management and organizational skills. Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
