As the Associate Technical Designer, you will provide support to the Technical Designer in achieving high standards of fit, construction, and overall design intent throughout the production process.

Associate Technical Designer- Production- Sea NY Reports to: Technical Designer

Responsibilities: -Assist Technical Designer in managing all women’s and kid's categories from SMS through TOP -Measure and steam samples in preparation for fittings. -Attend fittings for SMS, 1st Fit, PPS, and TOP stages -Creating tech packs and setting up grading for styles in all categories. -Assist technical designer in evaluating samples and advising comments/ corrections to overseas factories at all stages -Effectively communicate fit intent, pattern corrections, and construction revisions via fit notes, images, and detailed diagrams. -Support Technical Designer with daily factory communication -Communicate internally with all cross functioning teams to support an efficient workplace -Assist Design and Development teams when necessary leading up to deadlines and line opening.

Qualifications/ Experience -Bachelors Degree in Technical Design or Fashion Design -2-4 years of Technical Design experience in womenswear -Good knowledge of pattern making and grading -Strong garment and construction knowledge -Strong knowledge in technical workmanship and quality -Must have a strong level of technical problem solving and be able to effectively manage multiple challenges -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail. -Must be a team player with a good attitude. -Proficient in Excel and Illustrator
