Market America | SHOP.COM , a product brokerage and Internet marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing, is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to assist our Creative Services Department.
Position Summary: The Senior Graphic Designer produces produce original, thought-provoking designs, including but not limited to catalogs, print and digital magazine layout, flyers, event banners and signage, photo editing, product labels, logos, animations, social media assets and other high-profile print and digital media
Essential Function and Responsibilities: Serves a key role in brand design and campaign management to develop brand footprints Remains current on procedures, technical and production issues, and questions to effectively coach design team Develops successful designer/writer collaborations with internal and external teams Creates attractive pieces based on current trends and company branding from conception to completion Ensures that deadlines are met according to schedule Maintains visual consistency of the company brands to meet marketing goals Assists in enhancing the visual brand standards and departmental processes Collaborates with team members to meet deadlines Coordinates with vendors to define project specification for efficient and timely procedures and processes Organizes and maintains electronic files and project folders for effective archival and retrieval Reviews JIRA work orders, job tracking and approval of reviews in absence of art director Partners with Product Managers, Management team, and vendors Trains and orients employees Complies with company policies and procedures Supports the Company's Safety Programs Acts as an ambassador and champion of the company culture, ethics, and values Performs any other functions and duties assigned and necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of Market America.
Education & Experience:
Four-year degree in Graphic Design or Bachelor of Fine Arts Five years of experience in professional graphic design in print, print production, typography, color and layout, and spot color work Computer/Communication Skills:
Vast knowledge of applicable Mac software programs, including Adobe Creative Cloud Exceptional sense for color and typography Proficient use of MS Office Products, Adobe Creative Suite, and Mac OSX platform Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion Thrives under pressure of deadlines and changing priorities Ability to get along and work with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible Prioritizes and models good communication skills; follows up, timely responses, proactive and positive in approach Above moderate to high levels in reading comprehension, writing, and speaking in English; active listening; attention to detail; critical thinking; creative problem solving; complex problem solving; and judgment. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive-but is able to recognize and support senior management's preferences and priorities to advance the organization Results and people oriented, with judgment to balance other business considerations Service oriented, but assertive/persuasive Travel:
