Angel City FC seeks a Social Media Manager to elevate our social and community engagement to new heights across current and emerging platforms. Reporting to the Director of Social Content & Strategy, you will help lead the charge in platform strategy, innovation, and content creation. Your success will be measured by leveraging impactful, high-quality content that reflects our strong brand identity while growing our community and producing consistent engagement. The ideal candidate is a creative social media expert with a keen pulse on trends, a passion for soccer, and the ability to manage and develop a team. Execute the day-to-day social media strategy for Angel City FC. Manage and program content across platforms, including Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, BlueSky, and X. Stay informed on social media updates and trends, maintaining strong relationships with platform account leads. Partner with internal teams and the NWSL to share trends, updates, and best practices. Develop and maintain content calendars, ensuring timely, consistent, and strategic posting. Collaborate with design and content teams to create engaging campaigns tailored to target audiences. Lead community engagement efforts, responding to audience comments and messages to foster connection and inclusivity. Use analytics to monitor performance, identify wins, and optimize future content strategies. Manage and mentor 1-2 direct reports, fostering professional growth and maintaining consistent on-brand content creation. Partner cross-functionally with community, content, and revenue teams to support initiatives and highlight talent and community stories. Attendance for all home games. Travel as needed to attend events and games. Requirements:

5+ years of experience managing social media across multiple platforms within the sports industry or a creative, scrappy, startup entertainment brand environment. 1+ years of experience managing direct reports with a focus on mentorship and development. Excellent organizational skills, balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including travel during the soccer season. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Strong written and verbal communication skills. A strong online portfolio that includes examples of work. Experience with social media analytics and leveraging data to inform strategy. Recommended Qualifications:

Strong understanding of soccer, particularly the NWSL, including gameday events, statistics, and player highlights. Proficiency in creating and managing short-form video content that aligns with emerging trends. Familiarity with tools such as Asana, Adobe Creative Suite, and Slack. Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to align creative ideas with a collaborative, brand-focused strategy. A passion for staying connected to trends, while navigating sensitive topics effectively. Compensation: In addition to the benefits above, this role pays between $72,000 and $77,500.
