JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Social Media Associate Producer (Bilingual English/Spanish) Department: IMG Studios Main Purpose of Job: To generate dynamic and entertaining social content that showcases and promotes MLS Season Pass for Apple TV for global audiences to engage with each week. Reports To: Studio Producer Direct Reports: N/A Indirect Reports: Production Assistants Hours of Work: Average 40 hours per week; flexibility required for nights, weekends, and holidays due to sports production schedules. Contract Type / Length: Permanent Location: Stamford, CT Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: The Role and What You’ll Do: The Social Media Associate Producer will support the execution of a dynamic content strategy for MLS Season Pass , focusing on creating platform-specific content that resonates with fans and enhances engagement. The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, and knowledgeable about soccer, social trends, and content creation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Produce and edit high-quality, engaging social media content, including behind-the-scenes footage, highlights, and graphics, to drive viewership and engagement. Pitch creative ideas for platform-specific content to grow the MLS Season Pass audience and encourage fan interaction. Collaborate with on-air talent to capture and distribute engaging moments throughout each week of matches. Identify and react to trending, viral, or significant moments in MLS games, tailoring them for maximum impact on social platforms. Develop and manage a content publishing calendar aligned with match schedules and league narratives. Write compelling, platform-appropriate copy to accompany media and drive fan engagement. Ensure all content aligns with MLS branding and follows league and IMG production guidelines. Coordinate with the MLS social media team to ensure consistency in voice, vision, and style. Distribute finalized content to stakeholders, including league partners, talent, and production staff. You Have These: Skills and Experience: Mandatory: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Experience working in social media or a closely related field, particularly in sports or entertainment. Proficiency with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, Facebook, etc.) and an understanding of their audiences. Familiarity with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut) and graphic tools (Photoshop). Strong background in soccer, with knowledge of MLS, its teams, players, and culture. Desirable: Experience creating video elements or graphics for digital or broadcast media. Knowledge of social media analytics tools and content performance optimization strategies. Core Attributes: Exceptional storytelling skills and creativity to produce content that resonates with fans. Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of projects. Excellent collaborative and communication skills to work effectively with talent, teams, and stakeholders. Strong attention to detail and adherence to brand guidelines and creative direction. Ability to adapt quickly to changing narratives and events during live sports coverage. Travel: Travel may be required for on-site production or event coverage. Location: This role is based in Stamford, CT. The candidate should expect to be in the studio 4-5 days per week.
