Our client, a global marketing agency is looking for a Graphic Designer to work on instore signage for a national grocer. This position will be part of a creative services in-house team and will help to execute and design a variety of instore signage assets. The Graphic Designer must thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects within a corporate setting. Please note, this is not a high-level graphic designer need.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design/Executes creative and graphic concepts in collaboration with the assigned team
  2. Produces technically correct, print-ready mechanicals for release
  3. Follows projects throughout all stages of print production and/or online deployment
  4. Interacts regularly with designers and other team members as needed for the completion of assigned projects
  5. Solves business challenges through smart production
  6. Takes ownership, leads initiatives, and successfully executes through all stages of production development on target, on time, and on budget
  7. Maintains and enhances the client’s identity by working within the corporate Brand
  8. Manages the execution of the work, ensuring that creative projects are completed, meeting budget and schedule targets
  9. Understands the client’s design needs and methodology
  10. Communicates effectively with peers, senior management, and clients across all topics from business to creative
  11. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or marketing or equivalent of 2 years of experience working as a Graphic Designer
  2. Retail, agency, or in-house corporate design experience preferred
  3. Must be highly proficient in industry-standard design software (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark, and MS Office) and other applicable programs on the Macintosh platform.
  4. The ability to prepare projects for print is essential
  5. Ability to build strong, technically tight, problem-free mechanicals
  6. Ability to set up and organize clean template files that can be adapted to many uses and streamline the production process
  7. Proficient knowledge of prepress and printing standards
  8. Ability to produce independently in a team environment
  9. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn existing and new workflows
  10. Organizational skills, adaptability, and composure under fire are equally important
  11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding to execute the work according to the customer’s needs
  12. Strong project-management skills, organizational skills, and time-management skills
