Develop, research, and write grant proposals to private grantmaking organizations and public agencies.
Collaborate with Explora staff to collect data, program/project achievements, financial information, and quotes/photos to write and submit timely grant reports.
Manage the annual grants calendar and trackers, which includes routine prospecting for grant opportunities and communicating with granting resources.
Provide high quality copy editing and proofreading.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Establish and nurture relationships with foundation, corporate, and individual donors. Advance Explora’s capacity to share stories of impact through additional writing in other formats and through copy editing and proofreading of a variety of materials.
Other Information/Requirements:
- 1-4 years of fundraising experience, with an emphasis on grant writing.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and work experience performing similar duties; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted.
- Proven command of editorial, grammatical, writing skills and techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of database management software.
