JOB DESCRIPTION

Seek grant opportunities that fit the mission of the APS HUB. Make recommendations for appropriate grants.

Write for the grants and manage requirements of grants received. Manage the bookkeeping for Health Services and HUB accounts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Seeks appropriate grants for the HUB mission
  2. Provide grant information to administration about grants available
  3. Input recommended grant information in Frontline for approval
  4. Complete the grant applications of approved grants
  5. Notify administration of grants received
  6. Assure grant requirements are met
  7. Assist with writing measurable goals and maintaining stats on program effectiveness
  8. Provide monthly updates on grants and donation status
  9. Manage bookkeeping for the HUB and Health Services department
  10. Assist with the organizing, preparation and implementation of HUB events
  11. Perform other assignments and assist at other duty stations as directed
  12. Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation policies of the School District and notify the proper authorities when repairs or replacements are required in order to maintain established standards
  13. Perform the job task requirements determined for this position
  14. Regular and predictable physical attendance in the workplace
  15. Comply with all District Customer Service policies and procedures.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor's Degree
  2. Experience with Bookkeeping
  3. Experience in Grant Writing
  4. Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures
  5. Knowledge of the grant writing process
  6. Proficiency (intermediate or advanced level) in personal computer use, data entry, and MS Office word processing and spreadsheets
  7. Excellent public relations and interpersonal skills in dealing with staff, students, parents, administrators and co-workers
  8. Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  9. Ability to accurately compose correspondence and other documents
  10. Ability to perform a wide variety of assignments requiring organizational skills and interpretation of standard office and bookkeeping procedures
  11. Ability to appropriately handle confidential matters
  12. Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Ability to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and, upon an offer of employment, complete an Employee’s Statement of Health and submit to a functional capacity evaluation at the District’s expense to determine ability to perform job-related functions and fitness for duty. Any offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of all background, criminal, and reference investigations.

Executive Director of Health Services

EVALUATION

Performance of this position will be evaluated at least once annually in accordance with the District Evaluation Plan.
