Job Description:
The Tony-award winning UTAH SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL, a professional theater company in residence at Southern Utah University, is accepting applications for Production Staff for the 2025 season. The Utah Shakespeare Festival produces a six-show repertory season and three Green Shows across three venues in the summer/fall of each year. Position details below.
Scenic Artist:
Work begins April 29th through the end of June 2024.
Pay: $16.50/hr, shared housing with private room provided, time and a half for any overtime worked.
Responsibilities and Experience Requirements:
- Responsible for painting and finishing of all scenic elements for assigned productions.
- Intermediate and advanced experience with scenic painting and finishing or related fields.
- Must be comfortable using ladders, scaffolding, and personnel lifts.
- Basic knowledge of typical scenery and paint specific tools.
