Audio Technician Job at Maslow Media Group in New York

The Maslow Media Group, Inc. seeks Freelance Audio Technicians in the New York City area that would be available with short notice as well as advance bookings for assignments in the NYC midtown area.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate a 32 Channel audio board or road cases with up to 32 channels active.
2. Set up wireless microphones, audio cables, speakers, and remote audio boards.
3. Provide good audio levels in meeting situations using various amounts of microphones (from 5 to 32).
4. Connect audio road cases to external speakers and/or the house system.
5. Connect audio road cases to external video conference units and/or QUMU units.
6. Set up audio playback from laptops, iPods, iPads, or DVDs to the house system, recording units, and any remote broadcast equipment.
7. Run audio/video cables (XLR, BNC, and VGA) to production remote road cases and monitors.
8. Ensure camera and computer feeds appear on screens.
9. Broadcast audio/video feeds using remote video conference units and QUMU.

Requirements:

1. Complete understanding of television production skills and values.
2. Strong computer skills to troubleshoot issues with laptops and monitors.
3. Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
