Fortune is looking for an experienced audio/video producer to create new and existing ongoing vodcasts. As the vodcast producer, you will be part of a team of video and audio journalists creating compelling business storytelling.
Strong news judgement, audio and video production experience, and superb communication skills are critical for this role. Exceptional scriptwriting skills are a must-have for this role. Outside of the audio/video team, you will work closely with the events team and reporters in the newsroom. As the producer of these stories, you will collaborate closely with hosts to create a best-in-class final product. The position is based in our New York City office and reports to the Executive Producer.
You will:
- The Producer of Vodcasts oversees day-to-day operations, including planning, scripting, production, and budgeting.
- The successful candidate works with a team of reporters, editors, and talent that will pitch, develop, produce, film/record, and edit original video podcast programming.
- This person is responsible for successfully distributing content across Fortune’s numerous distribution channels.
- The role requires strong communication skills and will involve collaborative work across the newsroom.
- This position is directly responsible for clip distribution and viewership across social platforms, live shows, and O&O.
- Responsible for identifying opportunities for coverage for varying shows.
- Maintain budgets and spending under the EP and operations team.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
You have:
- Podcast and multimedia producers with 3+ years of producing and production experience within a news media outlet, digital media outlet preferred.
- Passionate about business news and current events.
- A strong storyteller with a proven track record of deep reporting and high-quality, original field production.
- Experience writing scripts and headlines, and packaging audio shows.
- Ability to collaborate with newsroom leaders and reporters.
- Hands-on experience with both podcast and video production.
- Ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities across multiple projects.
Location: This role will be based in NYC. There will be a minimum of 4 days/week in the office.

Salary Range: $75,000-$100,000. This range is a good faith estimate and may ultimately vary based on a number of relevant factors.
