Job Description

We have an immediate opening for an Audio Visual Technician III to join our California office located in Los Alamitos. The Audio Visual Technician III will be an integral part of a team dedicated to installation and service. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude.

Primary Role

Lead and perform installation tasks for AV projects such as pulling and terminating cable, mounting projectors, displays and dvLED walls, rack wiring, etc. in addition to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AV equipment.

Detailed Activities

1. Lead the installation and integration of innovative AV technologies from manufacturers such as Barco, Biamp, Christie Digital, Crestron, Extron, Middle Atlantic, NVIDIA, Poly, Samsung, Shure, Sony and Microsoft Teams in our systems.
2. Assist with onsite commissioning.
3. Perform preventative maintenance services, routine testing, and problem diagnosis of integrated systems.
4. Read and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
5. Ability to balance multiple tasks and changing priorities.
6. Exercise appropriate judgment when dealing with customers and planning/executing tasks.
7. Effective communication with clients and colleagues.
8. Test and evaluate new technology and methods of implementation.
9. Accountable for ensuring that all job tasks are performed in accordance with IGI standards.
10. Grow professionally through ongoing training and certifications.

Qualifications

1. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Advanced knowledge of commercial audiovisual systems.
3. 5-7 years of related experience as an AV integration technician preferred.
4. Advanced knowledge of AV systems integration, and working knowledge of wall/ceiling construction techniques.

Preferred Certifications

1. AVIXA CTS / CTS I.

Location

1. Position is based in Los Alamitos, California.

Travel

1. Regular local, and occasional out of state/overnight travel.

Work Hours

1. Normal work hours for the Audio Visual Technician position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Pay

1. Compensation range is $26/hr. - $38/hr. depending on experience.
