Description:
The successful candidate will be hired at the minimum salary. This is responsible work in the daily operation and general maintenance of all audio visual systems (analog, digital and IP) used in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. An incumbent also assists in the installation of new communication systems, attends service calls and supports special events and requests. The position reports to the Video Services Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Operates the technical video/audio equipment for the First Appearances recording systems.
- Maintains the Public Address systems throughout the different buildings.
- Responds to service calls for any audiovisual system in operation.
- Adjusts audiovisual and communication equipment as necessary.
- Assists in the video recording of special events, seminars, training, etc.
- Supports Videoconferences, Child Witness Testimonies, special events, and Americans with Disabilities (ADA) requests.
- Transfers the video library into a new media format; duplicates recorded video on request.
- Interfaces with the data network to support audiovisual services and control equipment.
- Assists other CITeS units (Telecommunications, Network, and Help Desk) with projects.
- Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or closely related field, or Certification from Technical school in Electronics, Communications, Networking or Telecommunication is preferred.
- Three (3) years of experience in operating audio, video, communications and computer systems.
Licenses, Certifications, and Training:
- Required: Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Preferred: Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
- Knowledge of audio/video production/transmission and distribution systems.
- Knowledge of audiovisual equipment (cameras, microphones, consoles, etc).
- Knowledge of computer and networking equipment and systems.
- Ability to exercise versatility and troubleshooting skills to support the operations.
- Ability to carry out tasks and projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to quickly learn in a fast changing technical environment in communications.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands:
Moderate noise; business office setting. Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, stooping, and reaching with hands and arms; must be able to transfer up to 50 pounds; some risk of electrical shock. Must be able to travel to various court locations and county offices and work different schedules to facilitate the operations.
