BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
The Sr. Manager, Creative will be a crucial role in the Brand Studio team that Kubota is launching across North America and will be responsible for leading the creative team and ensuring that all creative work at Kubota is produced at the highest level. This position is responsible for shaping and building the creative process and workflow of the Brand Studio within Kubota North America and each local entity.
This position works closely with the Senior Brand Strategist to deliver on each entity or employee’s needs and requests, writing creative briefs, and ensuring that the Brand Studio is providing each request with solutions that fit their needs within the project budget and scope. This position is also responsible for communicating to the Senior Brand Strategist on the status of projects, next steps, and the internal project calendar.
The Sr. Manager, Creative will work closely to shape the overall vision and execution of creative produced at Kubota. The Sr. Manager, Creative must be an excellent communicator, be passionate about serving the needs of Kubota, and inspiring the team to their best creative work while being a team player when developing solutions for requests from entities within Kubota North America.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
- Act as the umbrella point of contact between Brand Studio and Kubota creative requests.
- Work with Project Manager to develop internal calendars to track work progress and ensure on-time delivery of creative.
- Attend regular meetings with Kubota marketing teams and follow up with the Senior Brand Strategist about all requests.
- Provide creative thought leadership and ongoing tools and resources to grow and nurture the creative team.
- Ensure each piece of creative goes through the critique process and meets internal standards before being delivered to the requestor.
- Participate in requestor discussions on creative strategy, generating ideas for clients that deliver value.
- Track work progress on a daily basis for all creative projects against internal calendars.
- Manage freelance and contract work and connections, including web development and copywriting management.
- Create a continuous hero experience for all requestors and manage the Brand Studio team to carry out the Kubota Brand Studio vision.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Graphic Design, or related field, or equivalent job experience required.
- 6+ years industry experience in creative roles, preferably within a large brand or agency.
- Proven track record of managing and developing brand strategies.
- Experience in leading and mentoring creative teams.
- Proficiency in design software (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate creative concepts and strategies to stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of brand positioning and market dynamics.
- Ability to stay organized, track multiple projects at a time, and maintain communication with multiple parties on project status.
- Proven team management skills and understanding of how to provide leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
