Our Client, an Energy Services Company, is looking for a Design Technician for their Jackson, MI location.
Responsibilities:
- Develop MicroStation drawings used to complete civil construction of natural gas infrastructure projects.
- Develop standard detail drawings in MicroStation.
- Conduct analysis of external/third party designs using internal tools and ensure each design follows the required specifications.
- Work in collaboration with engineering staff.
- Thoroughly understand construction drawing packages, civil site design, foundation design, and structural design.
Requirements:
- Computer and applications knowledge and experience drafting construction drawings required.
- Clear and precise designs are needed to effectively convey the design requirements to the construction contractors.
- Designs need to be safe, ergonomic, and practical.
- Experience with Bentley products including MicroStation, Open Plant, and ProjectWise are preferred.
- An associate degree in an applicable scientific or technical field.
- Significant years of relevant design experience may be considered in lieu of a technical degree.
