Job Description

Industry: Manufacturing

Job Title: Designer

Duration: 1 Year (Strong possibility of extension)

Job Description:

  1. Plans, coordinates and performs design work for complex 3D engineering models and components.
  2. Exhibits detailed knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) Standards and can apply it to many varied situations.
  3. Performs as expert user of 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) system with considerable experience in Top Down design work for complex 3D engineering models and components.
  4. May provide document maintenance and have responsibility for placement and routing of electronic circuits.
  5. May create Printed Circuit Board (PCB) fabrication drawings, plan PCB projects and create electronic schematic diagrams.
  6. Provides modelling leadership and counsel to other employees.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  1. Strong 3D modelling experience using Creo software is required.
  2. Experience modelling complex castings is required.
  3. Experience with iron castings is preferred.
  4. Experience with complex drive train modelling is preferred. Manager is willing to see candidates with working castings experience versus a degree.
  5. 1st shift position, business casual dress code. Will need metatarsals for first day.
