Jump Design Group is hiring: Associate Designer in Secaucus

Junior Dress and Sportswear company looking for a strong Associate Designer to join our team!

Key Accountabilities:

• Assist Head Designer in product development of monthly lines at all stages, including (but not limited to) market research, trend presentations, sourcing materials, developing tech packs, working hands on with patternmaking and sample makers, photoshoots, and costing
• Create detailed tech packs with sketches/CADs, specs, and garment construction notes
• Meet all deadlines and follow the design calendar
• Contribute to the creation and design of lines according to style plans, sales needs, and emerging trends
• Ensure that product development logs and line sheets are updated regularly
• Communicate regularly with factories on new and existing development
• Ability to communicate/ problem solve product development issues.

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design with a strong knowledge of garment construction
• 2+ years of experience in the fashion industry as an Assistant or Associate Designer (Junior’s experience a plus)
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
• Detail oriented with strong communication skills
