Emmerich Newspapers Inc. is hiring: Editor and Publisher in Greenwood

Emmerich Newspapers is looking for a dynamic editor and publisher for its small five-day daily, including a large press operation, in Greenwood, Mississippi. We have invested heavily in our proprietary state-of-the-art, 24/7, local news and social media platform. We need a strong manager to lead and guide our talented staff into the future.

The ideal candidate is a veteran publisher/editor who knows the business from both sides of the fence, able to drive revenue and profit, along with producing quality products. This is not a “desk job.” A solid editorial skill set, along with in-depth advertising knowledge and experience, are requirements for successfully leading the operation. The publisher is also expected to be an active and integral member of the community.

We offer medical, 401(k), and other benefits. The compensation range is $80K - $90K. We are aggressive in compensation for the right person. Our bonus model allows high achievers excellent additional compensation atop their substantial base salary.
