Description/Notes: Direct the operation of the school library. Provide services and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and using information to solve problems. Serve as teacher, materials expert, and curriculum adviser to ensure that the library is involved in the instructional programs of the school. Educate students to be responsible consumers of online information. Have available an array of online resources for staff and students.
Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university (for individuals certified after January 23, 2001).
Valid Texas school librarian certificate or endorsement.
Salary Range: Determined by years of experience.
Benefits: District pays $464 towards employee health insurance.
