Job Title: Public Services Librarian - Associate Faculty (pool posting)

Department: Arts, Learning Resources and Pathways Division

Job Summary/Basic Function:

This posting is to build a pool of qualified Associate (part-time) faculty to provide reference assistance to library users at EvCC. The librarian may have additional assignments such as teaching information literacy sessions, virtual reference assistance, or related work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in library science or equivalent from an ALA accredited program

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an academic library
Experience in providing reference assistance to library users

Physical Demands:

Everett Community College follows the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provides the following information as a guideline for applicants:

• Ability to read and verify data and prepare various materials
• Ability to exchange information on the phone or in person

Work Hours:

A typical shift is 2-4 hours in length. Saturday reference assignments are scheduled on a quarterly basis. Librarians are also offered assignments to fill in due to full-time staff absences.

Salary: $58.11 per hour
