Bethlehem Public Library is seeking an energetic, creative individual to be our next Children’s Librarian.

Bethlehem is a small town in northern New Hampshire, with a new library built in 2013 and strong community support. The library is truly the hub of the town. We have an influx of people in the summer, and many school classes that visit during the school year. Nestled in the White Mountains, residents enjoy many outdoor activities, such as skiing, hiking, and mountain biking, as well as art galleries, music events, and other cultural events throughout the year. Bethlehem is easy to visit, right off I-93.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist patrons at the circulation desk and deliver quality customer service with a welcoming demeanor.
2. Engage and educate children through programs which you will develop and execute.
3. Help patrons navigate laptops and devices.
4. Work independently and collaboratively with library staff.

Qualifications:

1. A suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
2. A background in libraries and/or education is ideal.
3. Strong computer skills.

This position is part-time, 16-18 hours per week, with one evening and rotating Saturdays. Competitive salary based on qualifications.
