Library/Media Teacher Job at Nebraska Department of Education in Bellevue

Provide an engaging learning environment in our school library teaching students in grades PK-6 library and reading skills. Maintain library and its contents.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Library/Media standards are being met for each grade level.
• Responsible for library/media instruction and supervision for students in PK-6.
• Create lesson plans that align with Archdiocesan Standards and the American Association of School Librarians framework for learners.
• Manage and organize library resources (books, IT equipment, etc).
• Assist students and collaborate with teachers on classroom project research (as needed).

• Understand how to align lesson plans across grade levels with standards for mastery.

• Understand the workings of a library.

Desired Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Education (preferred).
• Safe Environment training.
