Overview

The Media Relations Analyst will focus daily on external communications, including developing the content for and producing written and visual communications, and preparing leaders for media engagements. This role will support the Media Relations Manager and Director and in so doing help shape the reputation and public profile of Spirit AeroSystems.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Engages with local, regional, national, and international media on topics related to Spirit AeroSystems.
- Develops talking points and messaging for external use.
- Mastery of writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Analyzes the media environment related to the aerospace industry and provides analysis for company leadership.
- Maintains Spirit comms media tracker, capturing all active and completed media engagements.
- Maintains database of talking points and lines to take on all emerging issues.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 years' experience in media relations.
- Undergraduate Degree in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations.
- Must have working knowledge of developing press releases, AP style, and editing.
- Able to read, write, and speak English.
- Intermediate experience level in Microsoft Office Suites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in global business media.
- Aerospace, aviation, or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Working experience with news databases (Cision, PR Newswire, MuckRack, etc.).
