Motion Designer

In a world mediated by screens, static designs are unfit and boring. Everything we design should move, behave, respond, and feel alive. Motion designers give life, personality, and lifelike behaviors to design work.

They explain functionalities, convey emotions, and tell stories through movement and the manipulation of time.

Motion designers work as part of our interdisciplinary design team, playing a core role in crafting interfaces, brands, products, and stories. They transform boring, predictable work into delightful, captivating experiences.

Here are some expectations for motion designers:

1. An understanding of traditional and novel motion disciplines and techniques.
2. The ability to comprehend complex topics and distill them into simple, elegant solutions.
3. A love for bringing interfaces to life and a passion for interactive motion work.
4. The ability to work in 2 or 3 dimensions.
5. Being an advocate for motion where it is overlooked.
6. A passion for forward-thinking technologies and their influence on the world of moving pixels.
7. An appreciation for different cultures and disciplines, with an innate curiosity.
8. A love for bringing a brand or product's personality to life via movement.
9. The ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
10. The ability to think both systematically and poetically, dabbling in both imagination and logic.
