Multiple Shifts Available: UAB Medicine supports work/life balance. The shifts available for this unit are: Full-Time, Monday - Friday.

Job Description: To evaluate, plan, direct and administer programs of music therapy as prescribed by the referring physician and as evidenced by the patient’s needs. To complete patient related documentation ensuring content and timeliness meets all professional requirements and legal/regulatory specifications and to uphold patients safety in all interactions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Licenses / Certifications / Registrations Currently certified or eligible to be certified as a Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) by the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT) required. If eligible for certification, must obtain board certification within sixty (60) days from date of hire into position. Currently certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required.
