Description:
PR Assistants at The Brand Agency provide administrative support for client teams and accounts. As an integral part of the team, PR Assistants assist in day-to-day functions such as generating media and invite lists, producing recaps, tracking press, trafficking product samples and social media campaigns, and conducting market research. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess strong organizational skills. PR Assistants will also assist in social media production for The Brand Agency’s professional accounts, as well as new business development decks and proposals. This position will be based out of New York City and will report to our Director.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Traffic product samples to and from our office, editorial shoots, and with celebrity stylists.
- Conduct market research and media audits.
- Research for Senior Executive(s) to prepare pitches.
- Track social media accounts throughout a campaign.
- Prepare social media calendars weekly for our business pages.
- Capture and manage press clippings and servicing for clients.
- Generate media and invite lists.
- Prepare meeting agendas.
- Compile end-of-project recap decks.
- Prepare monthly client reports and recaps.
- Draft case study language.
- Lead/co-lead internship committee.
- Assist in social media and new business development committees.
- Support accounts with press clips, media lists, and research.
- Schedule appointments for Senior Executive(s) and team calls.
- Create FedEx labels for clients, celebrities, and influencers.
- Secure calendar listings.
- Manage RSVPs for client events.
- Download and capture all client assets to our shared drive.
- Book travel for Senior Executive(s).
- Handle expenses.
- Take notes on all calls and be prompt.
- Other admin-related tasks.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in a related field.
- Relevant internship or job experience in PR, Media, Marketing, Communication Studies, or equivalent.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Superior attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality of The Brand Agency and client-sensitive information.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and professionalism in high-stress situations.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and tasks.
- Enthusiastic, creative, and eager to learn.
- Strong organizational and written skills.
- Must be based in New York City and commute to the office daily.
- Available full-time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Prior fashion internship experience within an agency.
Work Requirements:
- Work from the office three times a week and from home twice a week.
- Travel to and from FedEx frequently.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including afternoons and/or evenings.
- Occasional travel requirements.
