National Collegiate Athletic Association is hiring: Public Relations Specialist

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Public Relations Specialist I for the Athletics Marketing and Communications department.

Key Duties:

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

1. Oversees, coordinates, and manages all marketing, game presentation, fan experience, digital and traditional advertising, and promotional efforts for Rutgers Athletics for assigned sports including football and basketball.
2. Assists with other duties as assigned, such as pregame events, enhancing the gameday atmosphere, and leading video board presentation, selection of music, and campus/community athletics-marketing relations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports administration, marketing, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Two (2) years of experience working in sports marketing/event management field.
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position; use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
• Ability to make decisions independently.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
