Job Description
The Role
Fastmarkets is seeking a Price Reporter to join its Americas metals team, based in the United States. This individual will be responsible for developing and promoting prices, news and commentary for the US aluminum market. In this role, this person will have the opportunity to work with cross-regional and cross-functional teams and be part of key projects focused on sustainability. This role will report directly to the Americas base metals editor and is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Price Discovery and Analysis: Report on commodity market fundamentals, including price drivers, key end markets and main industry participants. Uphold methodology and compliance processes, and back up colleagues on their metals prices to build up a wider knowledge base.
- Value-added Reporting: Break news and publish exclusive market commentary that demonstrates PRA-aligned insights and adds value for readers. Help produce marketing content including white papers, landing pages and social media posts.
- Market Engagement: Manage industry contacts that submit pricing data and network and attend conferences to expand source list. Learn to present and moderate at events. Support external engagement meetings to promote and develop prices.
- Representation: Adapt to new ways of working. Behave professionally, respectfully and with integrity in line with our company values. Use time effectively and efficiently by prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential.
- Market Knowledge: A background in metals, commodity or financial markets. Business writing experience preferred.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and distill complex topics.
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with industry contacts, respond to queries about prices and manage discrete information confidentially.
- Values and Culture Fit: Personal accountability with a growth mindset and openness to collaboration, learning and inclusivity.
