Position Overview
Premier Brands Group Holdings is currently looking for a Technical Design Director. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Advance the goals of the brands by ensuring fit, construction, and design aesthetic are met.
- Evaluate workload to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Ensure brands meet their goals of the Time and Action Calendar.
- Train associates to Technical Department standards.
- Motivate the technical team to perform at their best.
- Run fittings and manage the fit approval process.
- Generate annual appraisals for team members.
- Develop good working relationships with team members, other departments, and outside vendors.
- Ensure adherence to the Time and Action Calendar.
- Attend and participate in company meetings.
- Manage and set goals for team members.
Minimum Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a technical designer in Denim and/or woven in Women’s and Plus markets.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience supervising a team of multiple Technical Designers.
- Open-minded and forward-thinking; able to create and accept change.
- Qualified to create and revise pattern blocks and instruct factories on corrections.
- Computer literate with good communication skills.
- Familiar with at least one 3D CAD system and willing to learn.
- Strong knowledge of fit and how to correct fit issues.
- Strong construction knowledge.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to make independent decisions.
- Adaptable to changing business needs.
- First-hand knowledge of sewing and factory processes.
- Knowledge of denim washes and processes as they pertain to fit and execution.
Salary Range: $130K – $140K (Actual base salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and/or assigned unit.)
