The Video Producer at Komatsu is a key leader within the Marketing Communications - Creative team, an internal agency of video, animation, photography, and design professionals supporting Komatsu’s North American region. This individual will:

  • Lead Video Production: Oversee the internal video team and external partners, managing projects from concept to final delivery. Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain professional quality.
  • Content Strategy and Storytelling: Develop content plans and timelines that align with business goals, leveraging video and animation as key storytelling tools across marketing channels.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Creative Vision: Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand needs, generate creative solutions, and bring brand stories to life in an engaging manner.
  • Resource Management and Efficiency: Manage team capacity and effectively utilize outsourcing budgets to maximize workload output.
  • Content and Campaign Analysis: Support marketing strategies for content and media mix across channels.
  • Cutting-Edge Techniques and Standards: Champion best practices and tools within the video production team.
  • Effective Presentations: Lead creative meetings, presenting storyboards and timelines to secure stakeholder approval for design concepts.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Video Production and Strategy: Serve as a video expert, advising marketing teams on creative concepts and project execution. Create and produce high-quality multimedia content for various purposes. Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and establish project vision.
  • Plan and Execute Video Shoots: Conduct location scouting and manage crew members on-site. Travel regionally and globally to produce, direct, or acquire video content.
  • Oversee Project Life Cycle: Guide project kickoff meetings and production updates. Develop overall video plans, delegate tasks, and ensure projects adhere to established timelines.
  • Elevate Komatsu videos to inspire audiences: Transform raw clips and video footage with content from multiple sources to produce high-quality finished videos.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Four-year related degree
  • 5+ years of experience in directing, editing, and client consulting
  • Proven ability to lead creative projects.
  • Excellent communicator and organizer.
  • Master of project management.

Additional Information

Video Expertise:

  • Visual Storytelling: Experience with photography, videography, and motion graphics.
  • Equipment: Familiarity with professional cameras and various video formats.
  • Post-production: Digital video editing and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.

Additional Creative Skills a Plus:

  • Graphic & Digital Design: Understanding of core design principles.
  • Typography Pro: In-depth knowledge of typography.

Highly Proficient In:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud
  • After Effects
  • Photoshop
  • MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • MAC / Windows OS

Preferred:

  • Experience in a large, global organization.
  • Experience with B2B marketing.
  • Experience and passion for equipment, machinery, technology.
