Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area.

Required Experience:

  1. At least 5 years of experience developing custom applications on the Salesforce platform, including proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
  2. Extensive and in-depth knowledge of web activities, techniques, and tools.
  3. Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs.
  4. Familiarity with Salesforce Developer Console and version control tools.
  5. Awareness of agile software development processes utilizing Azure DevOps.

Certifications: IAT II certification & Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, II) can be valuable.

SUMMARY

The Salesforce Web Developer III provides technical consultation, planning, and administration of the software infrastructure and technical support for the implementation and maintenance of the company’s web sites.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Works with the engineering team and technical writers to create/maintain web pages via Salesforce that will capture frequently asked questions and answers.
  2. Works with PMO staff to develop webpages that address cloud capabilities across multiple vendors.
  3. Works with PMO staff to develop Salesforce workflows to manage customer interactions, including forwarding emails, creating customer feedback forms, and organizing that data into reports for review by the government.
  4. Develop and maintain Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and other related technologies.
  5. Build, deploy, and maintain web site pages.
  6. Integrate Salesforce with external systems and applications using APIs and middleware.
  7. Create custom user interfaces and components to enhance the user experience.
  8. Optimize Salesforce performance through code reviews, performance testing, and tuning.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Salesforce applications.
  10. Stay up-to-date with Salesforce updates and best practices.
  11. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  12. Provide technical guidance and support to Salesforce administrators and users.
  13. Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to any training made available by the company.
  14. Develops and improves site navigation.
  15. Consults with web content developers to ensure that complex needs are technically feasible.
  16. Designs web architecture.
  17. Develops functionality and navigation testing standards.
