Service Writer

Job Description

Jett Trucking is looking for an experienced Service Writer to join our dynamic team. The potential candidate will greet and consult service customers about their problems. This person will assist in the coordination of communications of the service department as well as perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Open and close work orders providing as much information as possible.
2. Record, adjust and report technician time on work orders.
3. Help and assist on telephones and counter for the service department.
4. Try to resolve customer complaints.
5. Schedule appointments.
6. Assist with warranty repair paperwork.
7. Check in vehicles and complete proper forms.
8. Consult with the parts department on special order parts.
9. Keep Shop Manager informed of all customer complaints and technician problems.
