GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Magnolia Hospice Representative will work with patients and their loved ones, physicians, nurses, hospital and long-term care facility staff, and other community members to assist them in learning about hospice services, the benefits of hospice care, and how the caring and committed team at Remarkable Hospice meets the needs of patients and their families in our service areas. The desired candidate should have a dedication to compassion, kindness, and caring toward patients and their families, as well as toward the clinicians and practitioners who work with them.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide feedback to the agency regarding the needs of the community.
  2. Establish professional relationships with physicians, discharge planners, social workers, facilities, and healthcare decision-makers through ongoing education and integration of successful sales strategies.
  3. Educate the community, referral sources, patients, and families on hospice services through daily planned activities including in-services, one-on-one presentations, and group meetings.
  4. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws relating to the promotion of the agency.
  5. Collaboratively develop new programs to promote the agency's positioning within the marketplace.
  6. Perform all other duties as assigned by leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree with a focus in Marketing or Business is preferred.
  2. 2+ years of sales/business development experience in the healthcare industry.
  3. Hospice, Pharmaceutical, Skilled Nursing, Durable Medical Equipment, and/or Home Health Experience Preferred.
  4. Proven track record of excellent sales performance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Prolonged periods of sitting while traveling.
  2. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
