Producer Job Description
The team at FOX23/KOKI in Tulsa wants someone who is dedicated to producing newscasts that make a difference to viewers. We will help you grow. In the last six months, two of our producers have gone on to top ten markets (this was each of their first producing jobs out of college) and several more have been promoted to Executive Producer. We promise to teach you as much as we can about producing newscasts. Our team is dedicated to putting on – as our slogan says – “News That Matters.”

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produces newscasts for broadcast across all platforms.
- Writes and orders news stories.
- Balances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism (or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency with computers.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team player who works well with others.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and think outside the box.
- Must be thoroughly professional in all aspects of journalism.
- Must be well-read in current affairs and have a wide range of working knowledge and understanding of general interest subjects.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
