Kartoon Studios (NYSE: TOON) is a global media company developing, producing, marketing, and licensing branded animated entertainment properties and consumer products for media and retail distribution. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Communications and Public Relations. This individual will oversee corporate announcements and PR efforts, leveraging traditional and digital social channels to amplify the company’s voice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of a bold, comprehensive communications strategy to elevate corporate visibility and investor confidence.
• Craft compelling narratives and messaging that align with the company’s vision, values, and business objectives.
• Manage investor-facing communication, including earnings releases, shareholder updates, and executive messaging.
• Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets across business, financial, and entertainment.
• Secure high-impact media coverage for corporate announcements, investor initiatives, and company milestones.
• Leverage digital and social platforms like X and LinkedIn to disseminate information and strengthen the company’s brand.
• Partner with the CEO and senior leadership to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
• Oversee the creation of press releases, presentations, and other communication materials.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or investor relations within publicly traded entertainment companies.
• Proven success in developing and executing strategic communications plans that drive media coverage.
• Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms.
• Established media relationships across business, financial, and entertainment trade outlets.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with C-suite executives and manage multi-stakeholder communication strategies.
