Software Engineer, Audio SWE Responsibilities

  • R&D in the areas of general audio processing/framework, audio ML/AI algorithms and audio codecs to power innovative, high quality, audio experiences across Reality Lab devices from Quest Metaverse devices and Wearables such as Augmented Reality glasses and Smart Glasses, and Meta's Family Of Apps.
  • Identify areas of scalability, performance, quality and reliability improvement across the audio stack.
  • Collaborate closely with both product and research teams to deploy new audio technologies as-a-service and as-a-platform.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of industrial experience with development of software systems including audio software for video conferencing or other real-time communication applications.
  • 3+ years relevant audio software engineering experience including DSP/ML audio algorithm development in industry settings
  • C or C++ experience, including use of C++11/14/17 features.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in audio signal processing and auditory perception, both classical and machine learned techniques.
  • Experience with audio stack including codecs, audio capture/render, and network compensation/jitter buffer.
  • Proven track record of innovation as demonstrated by products shipped, publications and/or patents.
  • Experience with GenAI
  • Experience with Python or other similar programming languages

$85.10/hour to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
