JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Instructional Designer. The Instructional Designer will be responsible for creating engaging and effective educational programs and materials that facilitate learning and enhance the skills of our Team Members. This role involves analyzing learning needs, designing instructional strategies, developing content, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and multimedia development.

This position must have outstanding communication skills, both in verbal and written forms, and ability to develop strong relationships and implement effective solutions. Must be highly organized, strategic, and able to manage multiple priorities, with strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities. This position requires a leader who is both strategic and tactical and can flex from across many levels and functions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Key Responsibilitie)

Needs Analysis:
  • Conduct assessments to identify training needs and performance gaps within the organization.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to gather requirements and define learning objectives.


Curriculum Development:
  • Design and develop instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, job aids, and assessments.
  • Create engaging multimedia content, such as videos, interactive simulations, and infographics, to enhance the learning experience.


Instructional Design:
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective learning experiences.
  • Develop course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments that align with learning objectives and desired outcomes.


Delivery and Implementation:
  • Collaborate with trainers and facilitators to ensure smooth delivery of training programs.
  • Provide support and guidance during training sessions, including troubleshooting technical issues related to e-learning platforms.


Evaluation and Improvement:
  • Develop evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness of training programs and learner satisfaction.
  • Analyze feedback and assessment results to make continuous improvements to instructional materials and delivery methods.


Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of learning and support organizational goals.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment with training initiatives.


Technology Utilization:
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in instructional design and e-learning.
  • Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other software to manage and deliver training content.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in instructional design software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and LMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to think creatively and translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Travel up to 30%
  • Must be based in Orlando, Florida
