Job DescriptionAs a Senior Manager on the Global Corporate Communications team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and delivering compelling narratives that resonate with diverse internal and external audiences, enhancing our brand's reputation, and driving engagement through strategic storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of media relations, a strong understanding of financial communications, corporate storytelling, internal communications and project management, with a knack for identifying what is newsworthy and culturally relevant. This individual is expected to:
Communicate complex financial topics in a clear, engaging, and culturally relevant manner and support the execution of communications efforts around quarterly earnings and other key investor moments
Participate in the development of compelling stories that showcase Visa's innovation, leadership, and impact in the payments industry
Help build and maintain strong relationships with key financial and business journalist and proactively pitch stories to top-tier media outlets and respond to inquiries to secure positive coverage
Analyze market trends and cultural moments to identify opportunities for Visa to participate in relevant conversations
Write and edit press releases, op-eds, talking points, and other external and internal communications materials.
Craft compelling content for internal, digital and social channels designed to engage readers and encourage them to click to read more
Leverage data and insights to plan, measure and optimize the impact of communication strategies
Oversee and manage communications projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and goals are met
Additional initiatives could include but are not limited to, active management of our awards and media training programs and updates to key corporate materials
Collaborate cross-functionally with investor relations, legal, and other teams to align messaging and strategies as well as balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 set days a week (determined by leadership and site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50 percent or more of the time based on business needs.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
8+ years of professional communications experience, with a mix of in-house and agency roles strongly preferred
Proven competency in financial communications and corporate storytelling
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into compelling messages
Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and managing media relations
Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Solid understanding of cultural and media trends to craft relevant and impactful stories
High level of emotional intelligence, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 142,200.00 to 206,350.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
