In this role, you will be located at Fort Meade, MD, providing support to our valued customers.As a Draftsperson/Technical Writer, you will be a crucial contributor, responsible for the meticulous tasks of researching, documenting, drafting, revising, and meticulously reviewing information for a diverse range of documents. This role ensures that all written content is accurate, comprehensive, and meets the highest standards of clarity and coherence.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide comprehensive documentation related to field, data definition, and data flow, utilizing various sources such as pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel. Design, build and update projects per customer requirements. Creates and maintains System's Diagrams, Network Data Flows, Power Distribution charts, Process Flowcharts, Rack Elevations and Floor Plans. Converting documents to PDF and upload them into Confluence. Recommends to the Government new technologies and best use of existing technologies. Create and maintain organizational and project documentation. Use diagramming tools like Gliffy or Microsoft Visio, to create digital versions of whiteboard diagrams. Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation. Write and edit technical documentation encompassing hardware and software aspects of the project, including installation, configuration, and instructional materials. Format technical publications to ensure clarity and accessibility. Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of technical writing experience Drafting/Illustration experience. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university A master's degree can substitute for one year of experience, reducing the requirement to (2) years of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Confluence Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Microsoft Visio Nlyte (DCIM Tool) AutoCAD Adobe Photoshop Security Clearance Requirements:Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer. The projected compensation range for this position is $70,000.00-$116,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
