User Experience Specialist w/ Content Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented UX Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing intermediate level user interface (UI) design services along with intermediate level UX writing and content authoring in a content management system (AEM). The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a strong understanding of user experience, content creation, and the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

User Interface Design:

• Provide intermediate level UI design services, including designing highly usable web page/site layouts, navigation, and content elements while maximizing system performance.
• Continuously improve the user experience by using a variety of qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques.
• Analyze data and user feedback to make critical design decisions and produce technically achievable and efficient solutions.
• Recommend improvements in UI design elements that enable internal business partners to achieve their goals.
• Present and “sell” design and content solutions to senior management, project teams, partners, and stakeholders.

UX Writing:

• Write copy for user interface copy that aligns with content strategies and business goals.
• Partner with UX Content Strategy, Design, Research, and Strategy as well as Product Owners to understand how content provides solutions to business problems.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure content complies with accessibility requirements, industry regulations, and brand standards.

Content Authoring:

• Enter and deploy approved content into Adobe Experience Manager (headless environment)
• Review content entered by others for accuracy

Collaboration:

• Work in partnership with UX team including designer, content strategist, researcher and strategist and business leaders to coordinate and deliver design, prototype, and documentation to the highest possible standards.
• Consult and partner with marketing managers, business leaders, and subject matter experts regularly on communications and content strategies.
• Pitch new ideas and find creative ways to tell Vanguard’s story.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Test UI design and serve as an informal functional tester for web UI design projects.
• Audit Vanguard web pages to ensure they project the desired look and feel.

Special Projects and Additional Duties:

• Lead or participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience in a creative or technical field.
• Experience:
• Minimum three years related work experience.
• Experience in the financial services industry
• Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively on multiple projects.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
• Adept at using Figma.
• Familiarity with web design, content strategy, market research, and social media.
• Expertise in communication to different audiences across channels/mediums and styles, including storytelling and visualization.
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex subject matter in plain English.
