Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical individual with experience in driving the Marketing efforts for hotels or resorts to join our team as Marketing Manager. The individual will execute marketing activities for the hotel/resort. They will work with strategic partners to create and execute global marketing/advertising strategies, make updates to the property's website, coordinate creation of collateral, create and execute robust social media strategy, and coordinate initiatives for on-property and local programming.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record Marketing efforts, preferably for a hotel or resort, they will be creative in how they approach marketing, they will be a problem solver, and be open to learning and leading by example.

Your Role:
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities under the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for all revenue generating channels for the hotel to include rooms, food and beverage, and other miscellaneous sources of revenue
  • Analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans, special events and projects for the hotel
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects to include special events sponsored by the hotel
  • Monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
  • Assist with and manage the marketing budget
  • Deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
  • Liaison with media and advertising and local businesses
  • Coordinate deadlines with Ad Agencies and PR Agencies
  • Prepare and proof ads for content and effectiveness
  • Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with our Ad Agency and PR Agency
  • Maintain Website
  • Social Media Experience Preferred:
    • Developing and implementing social media strategies
    • Creating and curating content for social media platforms
    • Managing social media accounts and monitoring engagement
Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Five to seven years of related experience in the marketing and/or promotions discipline
  • Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies
  • Technical marketing skills
  • Proven experience in customer and market research
  • Relevant product and hospitality industry knowledge
  • Experience with relevant software applications and computer programs
