Intermediate Web Developer

Position Information:

Responsible for developing and/or designing websites. Coordinates with a team of other developers in creating, maintaining, and updating websites.

Essential Duties:

Designs, builds, and maintains website and software applications.

Uses scripting or authoring languages, management tools, content creation tools, applications, and digital media.

Confers with teams to resolve conflicts, prioritize needs, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.

Directs or performs Website updates.

Develops or validates test routines. Ensures test cases mimic external interfaces and addresses all browser and device types.

Edits, writes, or designs Website content, and directs team members who produce content.

Maintains an understanding of the latest Web applications and programming practices through education, study, and participation in conferences, workshops, and groups.

Backs up files from Web sites to local directories for recovery.

Identifies problems uncovered by customer feedback and testing. Corrects or refers problems to appropriate personnel for correction.

Evaluates code to ensure it meets industry standards, is valid, is properly structured, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.

Determines user needs by analyzing technical requirements.

Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
