POSITION SUMMARY:
As a
Senior Designer for Women's Suiting & Wovens , you will lead the creative vision for our women's suiting and wovens categories. Your expertise will be key in managing the design process, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring our collections resonate with our brand identity, current market trends, and customer preferences. You will collaborate with various teams, oversee product development, and play an essential role in enhancing our women's wovens offerings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Creative Leadership:
Partner with the Design Director to establish a thrilling design vision for women's wovens, engaging the tailoring and outerwear design team to innovate and craft garments that align with our brand essence. Trend Exploration:
Stay ahead of the curve by researching and analyzing the latest fashion trends, fabric innovations, and competitor strategies to refine our product offerings. Seasonal Collection Development:
Work closely with other design teams to curate cohesive and on-trend seasonal collections while effectively presenting ideas to internal stakeholders. Brand Consistency:
Guarantee that all designs align with Calvin Klein's aesthetic and quality benchmarks, collaborating with the brand team to maintain a unified storytelling approach. Product Development:
Produce detailed tech packs and specifications while ensuring that construction quality and fit meet our high standards. Budget and Timeline Management:
Collaborate with the design director and project managers to manage design budgets and adhere to timelines. Team Development:
Inspire and mentor junior designers, cultivating a creative and collaborative team environment. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with product developers, merchandisers, and suppliers to ensure the successful execution of design concepts. QUALIFICATIONS: 7-10 years of design experience in tailoring and outerwear. Proven track record in a senior designer role relevant to women's wovens in the fashion industry. EDUCATION:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience. SKILLS: Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and technical skills in women's tailoring and outerwear/wovens. Proficiency in design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; familiarity with Miro and Centric PLM is a plus. Solid understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, and patternmaking. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Strong comprehension of fashion trends, color theory, and textile advancements. Meticulous attention to aesthetics and quality. Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and meet project deadlines. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee 1-2 designers or assistant designers. ENVIRONMENT:

Pay range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000, and it is bonus eligible.
