Are you a skilled Design Drafter looking to make an impact in a dynamic and innovative environment? We are seeking a Design Drafter II to join our team and contribute to the research, design, and development of our cutting-edge products.
Job Summary: As a Design Drafter II, you will play a key role in transforming concepts into precise designs and drawings. Your expertise will help drive our projects from initial sketches to final production-ready designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and gather essential data to support engineering design.
- Solve mechanical and fabrication challenges across multiple projects.
- Create preliminary sketches and schematic diagrams for product development.
- Develop final designs by integrating preliminary information and technical data.
- Maintain expertise in part numbering systems, blueprint files, and drafting procedures.
- Coordinate tasks with other designers and drafters on project assignments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years of drafting experience, including circuit board layout, design, and electronics manufacturing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Drafting or Engineering preferred; equivalent experience or trade school certification considered.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for mechanical drawings.
- Experience with Raster Design, Autodesk Inventor, Altium Designer, and Adobe Acrobat Pro is a plus.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, electronics, and component documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with machine shop practices.
- Strong ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
