Role Purpose
The Sales and Client Communications Manager is a pivotal role responsible for driving Jovies growth by managing family sales, overseeing logistics for event childcare, and owning marketing efforts. This position handles the full sales process for family inquiries, while also managing event logistics for pre-booked childcare services. Additionally, this position supports marketing activities using tools like Constant Contact, Google Business, Canva, and business social media platforms, ensuring alignment with Jovie's sales and promotional goals. Eventually, the position will grow into generating B2B leads through cold calling and research, passing warm leads to the Director of Sales after successful onboarding in other key areas.
Key Areas of Accountability & Responsibilities
- Family Sales & Enrollment: Manage the sales cycle for incoming family inquiries, converting leads into signed clients by engaging them with Jovies service offerings.
- Event Logistics Management: Oversee the logistics for childcare services at events (weddings, corporate events, etc.) already scheduled. Coordinate with clients and ensure smooth execution of services.
- B2B Lead Generation: Research and identify potential business opportunities in the events and corporate sectors, generating new leads through cold calling and outreach. Hand off warm leads to the Director of Sales for follow-up.
- Client Communication & Satisfaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding event childcare, ensuring clear communication before, during, and after the event. Occasionally assist with client situations, such as helping resolve disputes regarding contracts or service expectations with families or businesses. Foster long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Marketing Support: Assist with creating marketing materials and supporting promotional campaigns for family sales and event childcare. Use tools such as Canva, Constant Contact, Google Business, and business social media platforms to contribute to content development.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with the Director of Sales, Family Relations, and Event Operations teams to ensure alignment on sales and event logistics, facilitating smooth client transitions from sales to service delivery.
- Scheduling Rotation: Participate in the scheduling rotation, where managers take turns working one weekend day per rotation. This is not a weekly commitment but is a requirement of the role. Additional hourly compensation is provided outside of the standard salary for the extra shift.
- KPIs: Timely resolution of issues during the scheduled shift, and mistake-free shifts
- Additional Duties as Needed: Occasional tasks outside regular responsibilities may be assigned. Flexibility and a proactive approach are essential.
Skills & Experience
- Sales Experience: 1-2 years of demonstrated ability to handle full sales cycles, convert leads, and meet sales targets. Comfort with client communications, cold calling, and lead generation processes. CRM experience is a plus.
- Excellence in Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously (Sales, Marketing, Events).
- Event Logistics Experience: 1-2 years of experience in managing event details, communicating and confirming details with clients.
- B2B Lead Generation: Experience with cold calling and research to identify business opportunities is a plus but not required.
- Marketing & Digital Tools Proficiency: 1 year of experience with Canva, Constant Contact, Google Business, and business social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) for creating and promoting marketing content.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively manage client relationships and resolve issues.
- Highly Organized with the ability to handle multiple inquiries and event details.
- Self-Motivated and Goal-Oriented, with the ability to work independently.
- Education: Degree preferred but not required; relevant experience and skills are more important.
- Hospitality background is helpful
Onboarding Process
This is a remote position upon completion of the onboarding process, with up to 15% travel required during and after onboarding. During the onboarding process, candidates will be required to attend in-person training for one week, possibly requiring travel. After the first week, the manager will continue training either virtually or, if the candidate is local, at a convenient location, through the first 90 days. Once onboarding is complete, ongoing check-ins will continue based on location and need. Additionally, if desired, candidates can schedule one in-person day per week to collaborate and work together, either at a convenient location or via virtual check-in, to maintain a strong connection and collaboration.
